I can't have any of the food I've posted, so I had to resign myself to cold pizza from Bellini's (pretty good substitute). Badminton has upped my appetite ante quite a bit and I'm grateful for any extra pounds that will come my way. In fact, I was so excited about having gained weight that last week, I found one of those automated weight-height-blood pressure machines in Mercury Drugstore and decided to give it a try. I stepped onto the platform, dropped my 5-peso coin in the slot, and a man suddenly materialized. He was watching my every move and when I turned to laugh nervously at him (I do this a lot), he said "Hindi makukuha ng tama yung blood pressure mo, salita ka ng salita."

"Aba. Who the hell does this guy think he is?" was what was going through my mind. A nervous "Hehe. Oo nga noh," was what came out of my mouth. Anyway, I'm still 115 pounds. Pfft.

I have decided to take a leave of absence for this semester. Plans have been made and though it's making me really nervous, I think I'm finally ready to act in accordance to what I want to be doing with my life. My parents are supportive (well, my mom is. My dad is still in the haze of denial) and I think that, yeah, this is it.

However, I still have a few requirements to submit:

- A review of a study done on content area learning (check! Title page na lang)
- 16 Blue Horn lesson plans (I've done 8, so far)
- Book annotation (which I haven't started at all. My library book is way overdue)

I can do this. I have to do this.

I finished "Jonathan Strange and Dr. Norrell" today and I really enjoyed it. If I were still in school, I would write a paper comparing it to Gregory Maguire's "Wicked" because they are alike in a number of ways. Two magicians. Two witches. And... uh.... yun lang pala yung similarity.
