The inevitable has happened. The magazine I worked for has been laid down, gasping its last breath.
The little bitch folded. Buti nga.
As for me, I'm doing great here with BJ. He's out the whole day Monday so I'm here twiddling my thumbs, wondering if I'm going to pass grad school. I also played babysitter for half an hour to BJ's 11 month old niece. I put her inside the laundry basket and pushed her up, down, and around the carpet. She seemed to like it fine. I also fed her bits of arroz caldo and she crawled from one end of the room to the other, stood beside my chair and said, Amamamam, which translates to "Pahingi." And then I read her a book. And it ended with both of us staring at each other. I'm so hopeless with children.
I'm not hopeless when it comes to bargains, though. I bought a pair of really nice low-riding pair of pinstriped pants for ten dollars, a fun-but-serious black skirt for five dollars, and 3 pairs of five dollar maryjanes. Black, white, and red chinese printed. Swap meets rock.
I really don't feel like writing these days (obviously) because I'm busy thinking of how lucky I am that I finally get to be with my boyfriend in person. I'm too busy worrying about stupid things like the weather and what to wear the next day. It's refreshing.
I'll go read now. I haven't updated the sidebar in a while. Pfft.
